Athlete & Thespian

Here's a picture my pal took of me "finning up"!

My first night dive!
(I almost died on this trip!)

I enjoy Scuba Diving, and I have an advanced certification, and an Advanced Biology specialty. I even logged 30 dives in one year during college because of a class I was taking.

Finally, I love to fence, although I'm getting very rusty! And I was an avid tennis player in my younger years.

Golf - I love this game, I hate this game, I love...

My friend Rauert has gotten me addicted to golf, which I have, in turn, talked Chris, my brother and my mother into playing. Nancy also just started playing as well and is convinced that the PRGR 200i will make her a pro player!

Theatre, Radio and Television Appearances

"No, don't do it!"

My favorite death scene!!! (I got huge laughs!)

As usual, I'm yelling at my women!

I have performed in many plays and musicals. The above photos are from my performances in (from left to right) Servant of Two Masters, Something's Afoot and The School for Wives. One of my favorite roles was David in Godspell.

DarkDan's Acting Experience

As a leisure-time actor, I have been privileged to play many interesting roles. As you might expect, I am almost always cast as the sinister character and I find this rather exciting as they are usually the characters who are most interesting to portray. Here's a brief list of my acting experience:

  • 1993 - Something's Afoot* (Col. Gilweather)
  • 1991 - The School for Wives (Arnolphe)
  • 1991 - The Servant of Two Masters (Silvio Lombarco)
  • 1988 - The Crucible (John Proctor)
  • 1988 - Godspell* (Judas)

* Indicates musicals

I've also done guest spots on radio and I've had a few television appearances:

  • 1980 - TV Pow (Contestant)
  • 1991 - The Midnight Caller (Extra)
  • 1993 - The Stockton Evening News (Interviewee)
  • 1998 - CNN Talkback Live (Supplicant)
  • 1999 - ZDTV Call for Help (Guest Speaker)
  • 2000-2001 The Screen Savers (numerous guest appearances)
  • 2001 Tech TV News (Interviewee)
