While previously a page to glorify Heidi, my feline
friend of more than 5 years, I am pleased to announce that we have a new
addition to our happy family, Persimmon.
Persimmon
Also known as "Persy," Persimmon came to us from Nancy's work, as a
patient who was trying animal therapy failed miserably, when she physically
struck out at Nancy. Since animals aren't allowed in the lock-down ward,
Persy got to come home with Nancy.
Compared to Heidi, Persy is quite the friendly cat. She loves to hang out
with Nancy on the couch and sneaks in for a quick nap on our bed whenever
she gets the chance. However, her favorite spot (which just endears her all
the more to us) is here:
She weighs a whopping 12 pounds (almost double Heidi's 7 pound weight)
and we'll hopefully have up some more photos soon!

Rescued from the San Francisco SPCA, Heidi slept almost continuously for the first 3
days that I had her.
